In the coming months, the launch of several flagship smartphones with exciting camera equipment is imminent, including the Galaxy S24 series, the Honor Magic6 series, the Vivo X100 Pro+/Ultra, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Realme GT5 Pro, which will be unveiled this Wednesday. The Oppo Find X7 series also joins this line-up, with a fresh leak now providing exciting news about the expected Pro model.
According to a post from the oft well-informed leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Oppo Find X7 Pro comes with a particularly impressive camera setup. This isn't a surprise per se, as its predecessor, the Oppo Find X6 Pro, has already been one of the most exciting and best camera smartphones this year.
As the leaker reported a few days ago, the Find X7 Pro is likely to come with a main camera based on the LYT900 sensor from Sony in 1-inch format. This would put the smartphone in the same league as the Honor Magic6 Pro, which is also rumored to be equipped with the same sensor size.
According to the new leak, Oppo will install two dual periscope telephoto cameras for the first time. In addition to a portrait telescope camera on the IMX890 with .7x optical zoom, an ultra-telephoto periscope cam with 6x zoom, possibly based on the IMX858, will also be used. In sum, a total of four 50 MP cameras could well be installed, together with an ultra wide-angle camera with IMX890.
The leaker also speaks of a new XCD solution, for which Hasselblad is reportedly once again involved. Collaboration with the camera specialist ensures improved color calibration and thus a particularly high-quality photo experience. While the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 was announced for the Oppo Find X7, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is expected for the Pro model. The launch is expected to take place in early 2024.
