Razer Blade 14 becomes first 14-inch laptop with Ryzen 9 6900HX and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti options, retails for a whopping $3500 USD
Launched early last year with the Zen 3 Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and GeForce RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 GPUs, the Razer Blade 14 will be refreshed for 2022 with the even faster Zen 3+ Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU and up to the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. Lesser RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3060 GPU options are available as well for much lower prices as detailed by the table below.
The big question on everybody's mind is how Razer managed to fit such powerful GPU options into a tight 14-inch Ultrabook form factor. The secret is in the TGP levels as the Blade 14 is targeting a relatively low maximum TGP of 100 W across all three GPU options. For example, Razer is promising a GPU boost clock of up to 1260 MHz for its 100 W GeForce RTX 3080 Ti whereas the same GPU in the chunkier 17.3-inch Uniwill Technologies GM7AG8P can target 150 - 175 W with a boost clock of 1590 MHz. Perhaps not coincidentally, the non-Ti GPUs in the original 2021 Blade 14 are also targeting a TGP of 100 W meaning that any year-over-year GPU gains will likely be minor-to-moderate at best.
RAM has been upgraded from DDR4-3200 to DDR5-4800 while the FHD and QHD display options remain unchanged. Nearly all of our comments on the 2021 model will apply to the 2022 model since the chassis is visually identical between them.
