Famous leftist Twitch streamer angers fans by buying a US$200,000 Porsche Taycan Turbo S
For the vast majority of people around the world, brand-new all-electric sports cars like the Porsche Taycan are simply unattainable. While the base listing price of this sleek German EV starts at around US$83,000, the more expensive configurations like the Taycan Turbo S can reach prices of more than US$200,000. One well-known buyer of this electric dream car has now caused quite a controversy due to his strong political bias.
The Los Angeles-based political commentator HasanAbi, who has amassed more than 1.8 million subscribers on the Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch, aired a special livestream two weeks ago when he picked up a sinfully expensive top-end configuration of the aforementioned 2022 Porsche Taycan Turbo S in Neptune Blue. It did not take long until confused and outright angry fans let off some steam on Twitter and even insulted HasanAbi, who goes by the real name of Hasan Piker.
Some followers claim that the streamer's socialist and anti-capitalist rhetoric, which has apparently earned him millions of dollars, does not align with the purchase of a US$200,000 electric car with 750 horsepower. This latest outrage revolving around the famous leftist Twitch streamer comes only six months after he allegedly bought an almost US$3 million home in West Hollywood, a move which some fans purportedly called "unethical" at that point in time. HasanAbi has since commented on these allegations and emphasized that his content is free everywhere and that he is not a "socialist Jesus".
