RS 4 Mini: DJI's next camera gimbal leaks with larger than expected battery capacity
It seems that DJI is preparing to launch a whole host of new products, having released the Air 3S, Osmo Action 5 Pro and Neo (curr. $199 on Amazon) in recent months. While we will be covering a new camera gimbal in this article, recent leaks suggest that the Mic Mini, Osmo 360 and Goggles N3 are also in development.
As for the RS 4 Mini, it was first spotted passing through one of the many regulatory bodies that post certification documents publicly. Although last month's leak only confirmed the device's name, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has now revealed a few more details about the third member in the RS 4 series. As usual, the FCC has not confirmed too many details about the RS 4 Mini yet.
However, it appears that the RS 4 Mini will have a larger battery than the RS 4. Specifically, the FCC mentions a 22.32 Wh (7.2 VDC) battery, which should correspond to a 3,100 mAh capacity. By contrast, the RS 4 makes do with a 21 Wh and 3,000 mAh battery. Conversely, DJI will continue to offer Bluetooth 5.1 Low Energy (LE) connectivity, which the RS 4 and RS 4 Pro also master. Unfortunately, other specifications remain unknown for now, as does a release date.
