The OnePlus Watch 3 was announced a week ago and was supposed to be available to buy starting today, but a typographical error on the back of the watch, which may be considered a small issue, has caused the watch's release to be delayed by more than a month.
Just a few days after it was announced, early hands-on revealed there was a typographical error on the back of the OnePlus Watch 3. Rather than read Made in China
, the inscription on the underside of the watch says Meda in China
.
The company issued a statement acknowledging the error and informing buyers it would accept returns if the typo was an issue or they could retain it as a sort of super limited edition
. Just a few days after, OnePlus has now issued another statement announcing the delay of the watch.
According to 9to5Google, OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus Watch 3's release has now been postponed to April 2025. In the statement released, OnePlus revealed that the delay is due to the typographical error below the watch face which the company is addressing with a new batch
.
While there's no specific date for the release in April, the pre-order page on the OnePlus US website says the estimated delivery date is April 15 for priority delivery and April 16 for standard delivery.
OnePlus will leave pre-orders open until April, so all of the pre-order benefits should remain available until then. For example, those in the US can get a $30 discount off the watch's $329.99 price when they use the code TIME1010
and an extra 10% off with a student discount.
