The Amazfit Active 2 Premium smartwatch is now available to pre-order in the US. The regular version with a silicon strap was launched in January, with the Premium wearable scheduled for release in February. The standard variant was also recently released in Europe, with the Premium edition expected to launch here in March or April.
The premium version of the Active 2 has a sapphire glass cover protecting the screen, which is more durable than the 2.5D Tempered glass used for the standard model. Plus, it comes with a black leather strap as well as a red silicone sports band. Otherwise, it is identical to the other Active 2 watches, with a 1.32-inch AMOLED display delivering up to 2,000 nits brightness.
Features include tracking of health metrics like heart rate and sleep quality, over 160 workout modes, including HYROX race, and GPS navigation. Zepp Coach provides AI-generated workouts tailored to your goals, and the Zepp Flow assistant can be used for voice controls and speech-to-text message replies. There is also a new notification center and support for remote controls for calls, music and the camera (iOS only) on your smartphone. Plus, Amazfit estimates that the watch will run for up to 10 days with typical use or 21 hours with continuous GPS use.
You can now pre-order the Amazfit Active 2 Premium for $129.99. These orders are due to start shipping in about seven days, when the wearable will go on general sale. Amazfit notes that customers in Canada can also pre-order the watch via its US site, though there may be customs duties and fees for these imports. Amazfit also noted that it wanted to launch its new Active 2 smartwatches in more countries but could not provide specific release dates.
