Reviews for the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G

80% OnePlus 7 Pro 5G
Source: PC Mag English Archive.org version
The OnePlus 7 Pro is currently my favorite overall Android phone, and the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is my favorite 5G phone. It's powerful, affordable, and doesn't overheat. Its network, in the nine cities where it's available, has superior coverage. It doesn't have the ultimate 5G performance, but it's good enough at a price that doesn't make me shudder. What's not to love?

90% OnePlus 7 Pro 5G semi-review: Testing out Sprint's 5G
Source: Neowin English Archive.org version
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is an awesome phone, with a stunning 90Hz OLED display, a solid camera with 3x optical zoom, a beautiful Nebula Blue design, and it doesn't have a notch. This is definitely a phone worth buying.

Hands on: OnePlus 7 Pro 5G review
Source: Techradar English Archive.org version
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is minimally different from its non-5G version, but that's okay – the base phone is phenomenally powerful at a lower price than the competition, and thus is one of the least expensive options for hooking up to one of the next-gen phone networks.

Qualcomm Adreno 640: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is intergrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 20% faster than the Adreno 630 in the Snapdragon 845 SoC and offers 50% more compute units (ALUs).

Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

SD 855: High-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2018 and manufactured in 7 nm at TSMC. Integrates one “Prime Core” based on a modified ARM Cortex-A76 architecture clocked at up to 2.84 GHz. Three more performance cores are also based on the A76 but clock up to 2.42 GHz. Furthermore, four energy saving cores are integrated that are based on the ARM Cortex-A55 architecture and clock at up to 1.8 GHz. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC integrates a X24 LTE modem (up to 2 Gigbit download), a new Wi-Fi modem (Wi-Fi 6 ready, 60 GHz mmWave), Hexagon 690 DSP with new Tensor cores for AI processing, a Spectra 380 ISP with an integrated computer vision engine and an integrated LPDDR4x memory controller.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

Only a few smartphones have larger screens.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

OnePlus:

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Shenzhen OnePlus Science & Technology Co., Ltd. was founded in 2013. The first smartphone was launched in 2014.

It is a subsidiary of BBK Electronic Corporation, a Chinese giant electronic company group, which contains Oppo and Vivo, too. Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus combined had a world market share of more than 10% in the smartphone business in 2016. This exceeded even the Huawei share and resulted in rank 3 behing Samsung and Apple. Furthermore, it was an increase of about 140% compared to 2015. However, OnePlus is the smallest of the three BBK-smartphone manufacturers.

There are not too many reviews on OnePlus smartphones, the ratings are above average (as of 2016).

85%: This rating should be considered to be average. This is because the proportion of notebooks which have a higher rating is approximately equal to the proportion which have a lower rating.
