Oppo is expected to launch a new compact smartphone. Similar to the Vivo X200 Pro Mini, the Oppo's compact phone will target the flagship market. The company has not officially revealed any details yet. Though many leaks and rumors have surfaced online providing key information about the device, that we expect will be named the Oppo Find X8 Mini.
The Find X8 Mini is expected to be rebranded as the OnePlus 13 Mini for the global market. We have seen this strategy with previous Oppo devices. For example, the Oppo Find N3 was sold as the OnePlus Open in markets outside of China. Therefore, it's likely that the leaks about the Find X8 Mini apply to the OnePlus 13 Mini as well.
The latest leak comes from Digital Chat Station, a known tipster in the smartphone market. The tipster claims that the upcoming phone will feature a 6.3-inch LTPO display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This will be a flat display similar to the Vivo X200 Pro Mini.
The leaker suggests that the phone will feature a triple rear camera setup that will be similar to the upcoming Oppo Find N5 foldable smartphone. The phone may come equipped with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
Additionally, the phone is said to support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Find X8 Mini is also tipped to be light-weight, expected to be around 180g.
For now, all this information is based on a leak and hence should be taken with a pinch of salt. Oppo will be releasing the foldable Find N5 this month. We may see the launch of the Find X8 Mini in the coming months followed by the launch of the OnePlus 13 Mini for the international markets.
