The Find N is OPPO's first-gen foldable smartphone, and has attracted a lot of attention in its first market (China) due to its high-end specs and novel form-factor compared to its main Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 rival. It has been up for limited pre-sale since its December 15, 2021 launch, although some of that event's units have been listed for increased prices compared to retail since then.

The OPPO Find N has garnered a lot of interest since its launch not merely due to its foldable nature but to the dimensions of both the primary and secondary displays that, as the OEM asserts, may "solve a lot of problems" with its emerging premium smartphone category. Now, however, it may has a different potential problem: scalping.

OPPO had released the new foldable in limited quantities in order to celebrate its debut. The units in question were set at its 'normal' price of 7,699 yuan (~US$1,210) for one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage or 8,999 yuan (~$1,410) for a top-end 8/512GB SKU. However, they have reportedly all sold out not long after its official sales channel went live.

Then again, some of them are now to be found on the "second-hand" site Xianyu  - just not costing the same. Some customers have reportedly re-listed their unopened OPPO Find Ns, for 9,299 yuan (~$1,460) in one case, whereas the top-end SKU has been spotted at 12,000 yuan (~$1,880).

These pages might be a measure of the Find N's popularity in China already - even though it will be on sale again at its regular cost on December 23, 2021.
