Those waiting expectantly for April 30 to come and deliver an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card will be happy to learn that their new budget-level Turing-based graphics solution could be released over a week earlier. It seems a date of April 22 has been offered by unnamed AIBs, while Nvidia has been keeping silent over the subject so far.
The GeForce GTX 1650 is expected to cost around US$129 and should come with 4 GB GDDR5 memory that utilizes a 128-bit memory bus. It has been speculated the GTX 1650 is based on the 12nm TU117 GPU. It’s possible a GeForce GTX 1650 Ti model will also be upon us soon, with similar specifications to the non-Ti version but with GDDR6 memory instead.
If the predictions are correct, that will mean the GeForce GTX 16 series will feature a total of four cards: the GTX 1650, GTX 1650 Ti, GTX 1660, and the GTX 1660 Ti. Along with the RTX 20 series and the additions to the MX200 series, it’s been a busy period for Nvidia – and there are still likely some mobile versions of the cards to come yet.
