At the start of the year, a flurry of new details concerning the WF-1000XM6 surfaced online via various sources. Since then, leaks and rumours about Sony's long-awaited wireless earbuds have somewhat dried up. In part, that could be because Sony updated its cheaper LinkBuds series with the LinkBuds Clip (curr. $229.99 on Amazon), which launched a week ago.
Now though, WF-1000XM6 rumours have returned thanks to new information shared by Roland Quandt on Bluesky. Unfortunately, the WF-1000XM6's design remains unknown at this point. However, Quandt suggests that Sony is planning to offer its next set of high-end wireless earbuds in more colour options than when the WF-1000XM5 debuted in July 2023.

Specifically, Quandt asserts that the WF-1000XM6 is set to launch with a Sandpink variant. For context, Sony initially offered the WF-1000XM5 in black and silver finishes before refreshing them with a Smoky Pink option in September 2024.
Previously, Sony was expected to follow this release approach with the WF-1000XM6, which had only been referenced in black and silver variants in shipping manifests. Currently, Sony is anticipated to launch the WF-1000XM6 as soon as next month for $329.99 in the US and €299.99 in the Eurozone.
