Following official confirmations earlier this month, Jabra has finally launched the Evolve3 75 and Evolve3 85 headphones, aimed at the high-end productivity segment. Interestingly, the Evolve3 sports a major change compared to its predecessors - one that might even upset some people.
The Evolve3 lasts up to 120 hours on one charge
Unlike its predecessors, the Evolve3 lineup will not feature a dedicated boom microphone. With its removal, the Evolve3 now looks almost indistinguishable from other premium headphones. The headphones will feature traditional multi-mic system, along with some software wizardry and on-board intelligence that will help remove any background noise.
Like other premium headphones available in the market, the Evolve3 will also feature adaptive noise cancellation. Other notable features include Spatial Sound, replaceable batteries, high-fidelity support (LC3, SBC, AAC), and wireless charging. On a single charge, the Evolve3 85, which happens to be the over-ear variant, will last a claimed 120 hours of music, and 25 hours of calls (with ANC off). The on-ear Evolve3 75, on the other hand, will last 110 hours and 22 hours of music and calls respectively.
Of course, real-world battery performance can only be established with independent reviews, but the claimed numbers are undoubtedly impressive. Fast charging support is also present, granting the headphones 10 hours of use from a quick 10-minute charge.
Pricing and availability
The Jabra Evolve3 85 will retail at an MSRP of $649, while the Evolve3 75 is priced at $463. Interestingly, the black colorway of the both the headsets will be available from March 1, while the warm gray colorway will be available another month later. Folks who do not want to spend that much on a headset should check out the Sony WH1000-XM5 on Amazon, currently available for just $298 on Amazon.
