Following the launch of their flagship Amped Buds, HMD Global is now introducing the Dub X50 Pro, a much more affordable pair of earbuds costing the equivalent of just $28. The true wireless earbuds (TWS) are said to offer impressive features and a modern design.
The housing, available in silver or blue, is IP54 certified and thus protected against rain and sweat, making the earbuds suitable for sports. HMD Global claims a battery life of 15.8 hours, or 60 hours with the charging case, achieved at 60% volume with ANC disabled. In addition to active noise cancellation, the HMD Dub X50 Pro also support ENC, which reduces distracting ambient noise during phone calls.
The four microphones can be used not only for phone calls but also for voice assistants, which can be activated by touching the earbuds. The earbuds contain a modern Bluetooth 5.3 chip that also supports Bluetooth Multipoint, allowing simultaneous connection to two devices. However, HMD Global has opted not to include support for Hi-Fi codecs.
Price and availability
The HMD Dub X50 Pro will be available in select regions this January, with a wider, full global rollout likely to follow. In the Philippines, for example, the earbuds will be offered for the equivalent of approximately $28.
