A press release has revealed that Philips (TP Vision) and Bowers & Wilkins have decided to extend their partnership and continue to offer their respective expertise in future Philips OLED and LCD TVs. The duo previously collaborated on the well-received 65OLED+984 and OLED+934 models, and new televisions are expected to be released soon.

It appears the idea of combining the visual expertise of Philips with the audio expertise of Bowers & Wilkins has been fruitful for the two companies, as they have decided to extend their partnership for the future and plan to release more devices in the next few months. The already released Philips 65OLED+984 and 65OLED+934 televisions incorporated sound equipment from Bowers & Wilkins and have been highly praised by reviewers.

According to the press release, fans of the companies can expect new Philips/Bowers & Wilkins products during the second half of 2020. These products include some more OLED+ models and apparently some LCD televisions that will offer a range of smaller sizes for customers to choose from. But those interested in buying one of these dual-effort OLED+ devices better be ready for an expensive purchase.

Even with it boasting a 4K OLED screen, HDR10+ support, smart TV functions, 4x HDMI, 3 x 20 W speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and all the Philips Ambilight features for enhanced viewing and better gaming experiences, the 65OLED984 still costs a pretty penny. The 65-inch television had a price tag of £4,499 (US$5,648) when tested by What Hi-Fi, although it did receive considerable praise for both its picture and sound.
