Philips has upgraded its OLED+ TV line, its flagship OLED TV series. The OLED+ 936 series will be available in three sizes later this month, with a few changes from the OLED+ 935, including HDMI 2.1 support.

Philips has upgraded its OLED+ TV range, the company's flagship OLED TVs. According to FlatpanelsHD, Philips will release the new TVs as the OLED+ 936, a one-digit increase from last year's models. Unsurprisingly, the new TVs retains some of their predecessor's features, including Android TV 10 and Philips' four-sided Ambilight technology.

The OLED+ 936 series will be available in 48-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, all with 4K displays. Additionally, Philips has equipped all models with a new dual-chip P5 processor, building on the single chip version that it includes in the OLED+ 935 series. Presumably, the new SoC makes the OLED+ 936 series more powerful than its predecessor, although details about the chip remain unknown currently.

Nonetheless, Philips has confirmed that the OLED+ 936 series will have dual HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K/120 FPS content, VRR, eARC, FreeSync and ALLM. Hence, the OLED+ 936 series could be a good companion for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S consoles. All OLED+ 936 models have a 3.1.2-channel speaker system too with Dolby Atmos support.

Philips has revealed how much OLED+ 936 TVs will cost, nor where it plans to sell the series. However, the company will launch its new TVs on August 31, where it is expected to reveal details on availability and pricing.
