The Momentum 5000 32M1N5800A is one of Philips' most expensive gaming monitors, priced at £760. While much more expensive than the Momentum 5000 27M1N5200PA, the 32M1N5800A has a 4K native resolution, a 144 Hz panel and is DisplayHDR 400 certified.

The 32M1N5800A is one of two new Momentum 5000 gaming monitors that Philips has introduced, with the other being the 27M1N5200PA. While the latter offers a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.5 ms response times (MPRT), the 32M1N5800A can only muster 144 Hz and 1 ms. However, the 32M1N5800A has many advantages in other areas, including its native 4K resolution. In comparison, its 27-inch sibling can only reach 1080p.

Additionally, the 31.5-inch monitor is DisplayHDR 400 certified and peaks at 500 cd/m², making it bright enough to display HDR content. For reference, DisplayHDR 400 is the lowest certification that VESA offers. The 32M1N5800A has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio too, along with 124% sRGB, 113% NTSC and 87.5% AdobeRGB colour space coverages.

Moreover, Philips has included dual 5 W speakers, four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports and a USB Type-B connection (upstream). Also, the 32M1N5800A has two HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, making it compatible with current-generation games consoles and modern graphics cards. The Philips Momentum 5000 32M1N5800A should be orderable later this month for £760.
