The Hisense M2 Pro Laser Mini Projector has been announced for markets including the US, Germany and Australia. It is marketed as a laser TV for the home cinema, though its portable design with integrated adjustable angle stand and some features suggest it could also be used in another room or outside.
Hisense claims that the compact Pure Triple Color Laser light source, combined with various AI tools, is a "paradigm shift in portable home cinema". The M2 Pro is said to be the company's smallest and lightest laser projector yet; unfortunately, its weight and measurements have not been revealed. Another missing detail is the maximum brightness level.
The M2 Pro is a DLP projector with a 4K resolution, casting images up to 200 inches (~508 cm) wide with a 1.0-1.3 throw ratio. There are image perfecting tools like automatic keystone correction and automatic focus. Plus, there are seven wall color adaptation settings improving the color accuracy when projecting onto a non-white background. Other named AI image enhancement tools include 4K Clarity, 4K Upscaler and HDR Upscaler.
Hisense's M2 Pro will run on its Vidaa Smart OS, with streaming apps like YouTube, Netflix and Disney+. There is support for Dolby Vision, various HDR formats, Dolby Audio and DTS:Virtual X. Plus, it comes with a voice remote. The full specification of this mini projector has yet to be confirmed.
Hisense has also yet to announce the price of the M2 Pro Laser Mini Projector; as an indication, the Hisense C2 4k Triple Laser Portable Mini Projector retails for $1,999.99 in the US (curr. $1,799.99 at Amazon). While the company has not specified an exact release date, the product is said to be "coming soon".
