Casio has launched two new AE1000W watches in the US: the AE1000W-5AV and the AE1000W-8AV. These new colorways offer the same features as their predecessors, with the same aircraft cockpit instrument-inspired design. Tools include a stopwatch and a countdown timer, and there is support for four stored time zones.

The Casio AE1000W-5AV and AE1000W-8AV watches have been launched in the US. These models were listed on the brand’s international website earlier in May, so their features are already known.

You can now buy the Casio AE1000W-5AV and AE1000W-8AV watches for $29.95. This is the same price as older versions like the AE-1000W-1A3V (currently reduced to $24.95 at Amazon). It remains to be seen whether these products will launch in Europe. They would join older variants, which are priced at £40.00/€39.90 in this market.

The Casio AE1000W-5AV has a black resin casing with a beige resin strap and both beige and yellow accents on the watch face. The AE1000W-8AV has the same black resin case, but it has a gray resin strap and light blue and gray accents. According to Casio, the AE1000W’s face is designed to look like an instrument from an airplane cockpit.

Casio’s AE1000W watch has four smaller displays. At the top left, the smallest display shows the status of settings like mute, alarms and hourly signals. Below this is a world map indicating the timezone currently shown on the larger display below; users can switch between four saved zones, with 31 to choose from. To the right is an LC Analog display showing the time in your home city. At the bottom is the largest display, showing the time, weekday and date. Features of the watch include a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown time and an amber LED backlight. Plus, it is water resistant to 100 m water resistance and has a 10-year battery life estimate.
