Casio and Offspring have finally shown off their previously teased collaboration - and it's not headed to retail. Dubbed the "Cement Edition," the watch is a custom DW-5600 that pays tribute to two 1980s icons: G-Shocks's rugged square model and the early roots of streetwear culture. But here's the catch - it's Friends & Family only, and the only way to get one is through a raffle.
Posted earlier today on Offspring's Instagram, the reveal confirms that this is a limited drop, with the first raffle already live through a form in their bio. Winners can collect the watch in person at the King's Cross store on May 17. A second entry method is on the way later this week.
Design-wise, the Cement Edition goes hard on nostalgia. You've got a matte black bezel, gritty speckled strap (hence the "cement" angle), and bold red "Offspring" branding running down the band. It's the kind of collab that feels loud but still sticks close to the classic G-Shock square design - the kind of thing longtime fans will instantly recognize, and newer collectors will scramble to get.
There's no word on how many are being made, but Friends & Family drops like this are rarely in large numbers. And with no retail release planned, it's clear this one's meant to stay exclusive.
This is the second low-key collab Casio has been involved in recently, following the Ron Herman GA-2100. While that one launched quietly online in Japan, Offspring's approach is a little more old-school - limited quantities, community-focused, and offline-first.
If you're in the UK and into rare G-Shocks, this might be one worth chasing before it disappears.
