In a recent investor call, Zepp Health has teased more product releases for 2025. During the meeting, the company reported on its Q1 2025 financial results, highlighting the success of the two latest globally released products. These are the Amazfit Active 2, launched in January and the Amazfit Bip 6, which followed in March. Apparently, these budget wearables have proved to be particularly popular in Spain and Italy.
On the call, Zepp Health CEO Wang Huang mentioned further releases on two occasions. First, they indicated that the impact of the Active 2 and Bip 6 "paves the robust groundwork for the upcoming launches of our mid- to high-end products in the following quarter". Later, they mentioned the "promising launch of our upcoming lineup of flagship sports products". Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Leon Cheng Deng also referenced the new devices, stating that Zepp Health was planning to "refresh all our major product lines in the different quarters ahead" with "more than 2" product launches before the end of the year.
The mid-range smartwatch mentioned is likely to be the Amazfit Balance 2, which was recently launched in China. This watch builds on the original Balance with an upgrade to Sapphire Crystal glass, dual integrated speakers and a larger battery capacity.
The new high-end wearable could be an Amazfit T-Rex series watch, though Zepp Health has yet to confirm this. Given that the T-Rex 3 smartwatch only launched in September 2024, it seems unlikely that this would be the T-Rex 4. Instead, it could be a refresh for the T-Rex Ultra (curr. from $229.99 at Amazon), which was launched in 2023. Such a device could be named the T-Rex Ultra 2 or T-Rex 3 Ultra.
Zepp Health has yet to announce when the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch, or any other upcoming smartwatches, will be released globally.
