A new Evening Report tool has arrived with Garmin’s latest smartwatches, the Forerunner 570 and the Forerunner 970. It builds on the older Daily Summary tool, providing users with information that could help them prepare for the next day. It also mirrors the popular Morning Report feature and could be rolled out to other smartwatches in the future.

Garmin has released a new Evening Report feature with the Forerunner 570 and Forerunner 970 smartwatches. These wearables were unveiled earlier this month and were then launched on May 21st 2025.

Evening Report mirrors the popular Morning Report feature, which launched with the Garmin Lily in 2021. This older tool provides users with a daily summary when they wake up, with information like their Body Battery score, Calendar events and a Suggested Workout.

The new Evening Report tool is said to help smartwatch users plan ahead. The summary appears before the user typically goes to bed, reminding them of their sleep goal, upcoming workouts and any calendar events. It can also show your Body Battery score, a weather report for the following day and tips from the Garmin sleep coach. You can customize your Evening Report by going to Watch Settings > Notifications & Alerts > Report Settings > Evening Report, where you can choose what data appears or disable the feature altogether.

It is worth noting that this is more advanced than the older Daily Summary feature, available on smartwatches like the Venu 3 and vivoactive 5. Like the Evening Report, the notification appears a few hours before your sleep window is due to start, detailing how activity and stress have impacted your Body Battery score.

A recent report suggests that the Evening Report feature will be shared with the Fenix 8 series, Enduro 3 and Tactix 8 smartwatches (curr. from $1,299.99 at Amazon) in a future software update.
