The Amazfit Active 2 Square appears to have leaked at several Mexican retailers. There was some speculation about this model when the original Active 2 was referred to as the Active 2 (Round). Plus, the Active 2 Square was briefly listed on a Zepp security site.
Now, marketplace sellers at Walmart and Celcom appear to have leaked some details and images of the Active 2 Square Premium. The Square model is said to have a larger 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a 390 x 450 px resolution. Like the round Active 2 Premium watch, it is listed as having a stainless steel bezel with two buttons, and the screen is protected by sapphire crystal glass. It comes with two straps, one leather and one silicone, with the watch measures 43.2 x 36.9 x 9 mm (~1.7 x 1.5 x 0.4 inches) and weighs 31.4 g (~1.1 oz).
While the full feature set remains to be seen, the product listing indicates that the Amazfit Active 2 (Square) will have the same BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor as the round watch, with over 160 sports modes and the PulsePrecision heart rate algorithm. Whether this Premium watch will offer NFC contactless payments feature in some markets is unclear. The smartwatch also appears to have a 260 mAh battery for up to five days battery life with heavy use.
Whether or not there will be a standard version of the Active 2 Square, and how this would differ from the Premium variant, is another unknown. The Amazfit Active 2 Square smartwatch is expected to be officially unveiled later in June 2025, though an exact launch date and global pricing have yet to be revealed. As a reminder, the Amazfit Active 2 Premium (Round) is priced at $129.99 (Amazon).
