Zepp Health has firmly established itself in the wearables market and offers a wide range of models. Not just smartwatches, but also smart rings. Now, the release of a new wearable is on the horizon in the form of the Helio Strap, which is designed to measure various vital parameters. AndroidTR has published what appears to be images of the device and reports that it as already been registered with the FCC since devices with wireless network technology must always be registered with the FCC. Hence, an upcoming product release can be considered almost certain. At the FCC itself, there is a device with the product number A2445 listed as a "Smart Band", which is accompanied by a simple graphic showing numerous optical sensors on the back and two charging contacts.
AndroidTR claims to have been able to extract the images from the source code of Zepp Health's software, but does not explain how. The visual design of the Amazfit Helio Strap is not really surprising, but it is certainly unusual. What we see is basically a strap that covers what appears to be a sensor unit and a hidden display, which, according to AndroidTR, has a resolution of 460 x 460. It is conceivable that this merely shows various parameters obtained during the day. The system does not have NFC and can only be connected via Bluetooth. According to a listing from Zepp Health, a release is scheduled for this month.
