Lenovo has introduced a new version of the Watch S, which is basically packed with more smart features than the one the company previously released. This newly released smartwatch comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen that has a resolution of 466x466 pixels.
Surrounding the display is a stainless steel diamond-cut frame, which the company claims to be only 0.9 cm thick. Lenovo bundles two straps with the new smartwatch, and the leather one comes with a magnetic quick-release clasp for added comfort.
As a proper smartwatch, the new Watch S is packed with health and fitness features. Per the company, the wearable is capable of offering 24/7 health monitoring, and it's said to utilize an intelligent heart rate algorithm for precision. Lenovo also notes that there are over 70 sports modes, and there's support for voice navigation.
On that note, the upgraded version of the Lenovo Watch S comes with a microphone and speaker setup. This allows the smartwatch to take calls. There's support for local music playback as well (CMF Buds Pro 2 curr. $59 on Amazon), but the company didn't mention anything about local storage space.
When it comes to battery life, Lenovo claims that the smartwatch can last for up to 7 days in normal mode and up to 10 days when the wearable is lightly used. Among the other highlights are an emergency SOS feature, health reminders, and Bluetooth 5.3. The launch price of the new Watch S in China is CNY 499, around $70, and the company hasn't shared its plans for the global debut yet.
