New ASUS Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop teased before CES 2024 launch
Earlier today, ASUS shared its first ROG Phone 8 series teaser, covered separately. While the company has not revealed a release date yet, it has provided a look at the back of its next gaming smartphone in which various changes from the ROG Phone 7 series can be seen. Additionally, ASUS has also published a short video for a new gaming product.
Described as the 'new G' in the embedded video below, little information is actually provided in its 53-second clip. Nonetheless, there are a few clues about what ASUS could have planned for its ROG division. Specifically, a display and keyboard can be seen at 13 seconds, which are followed at approximately 38 seconds with a version of ASUS' AniMe Matrix display.
Given the narrow gap between the keyboard's end and the chassis' edge, it would appear that ASUS is teasing a new ROG Zephyrus G14 (curr. $1,579 on Amazon). Based on the video below, the 2024 edition has thinner bezels than previous models, as well as a more rounded display lid. Unfortunately, other details like ASUS' processor choice remain unknown for now. However, the company has confirmed that its 'new G' will debut on January 8 during CES 2024.
