The flagship NVMe SSD with E26 controller is supposed to break 1000 MB/s speeds in PCMark 10 and 3DMark storage tests, and Phison will also show new M.2 2230 SSDs for handheld consoles.

Premier PCIe NVMe SSD controller maker Phison has announced its showcase lineup for the CES 2024 booth, including new storage solutions for the increasingly popular handheld consoles like the Steam Deck, plus the world’s first USB4 single-chip drives.

Phison’s PS5026-E26 Max14um SSD will be featured as the flagship product. This comes with the fast PCIe 5.0 E26 controller that enables up to 14.7 GB/s sequential read speeds and up to 12 GB/s writes speeds. Phison utilizes Micron’s B58R 3D TLC NAND memory chips with 2400 MT/s speeds. The speedy SSD is said to be the world’s first to deliver over 1000 MB/s in benchmarks like PCMark 10 and 3DMark Storage.

USB flash drive solutions are about to get faster while remaining inexpensive with the introduction of the Phison PS2251-21 (U21) single-chip solutions. The company claims that these are the world’s first drives with USB4 interface that can reach up to 4 GB/s transfer speeds, essentially matching the fastest PCIe 3.0 X4 SSDs.

Other solutions that will be featured at CES 2024 nclude the low-power PS5031-E31T PCIe 5.0 controller with speeds up to 10.8 GB/s and capacities of maximum 8 TB, as well as the latest PS5027-E27T PCIe 4.0 M.2 2230 SSDs designed for portable consoles such as the Steam Deck, Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go.
