Suneast has unveiled the Nano, one of the world's smallest USB-C flash drives for use with smartphones, tablets and laptops. Please note little-known Chinese brands have been offering pen drives of even smaller dimensions for a while.
The product extends merely 10.6 mm (0.42 in.) from the opening of the USB-C port, reducing the chances of it getting broken off when left constantly attached. The entire 2.8 g (0.099 oz.) drive measures 10.6 × 20 × 13.5 mm (0.42 x 0.79 x 0.53 in.).
The USB 3.2 Gen 1 drive has a maximum read transfer rate of 450 MB/s and a maximum write transfer rate of 400 MB/s, claims Suneast. The drive comes formatted in exFAT for broad compatibility with Windows 10 and 11, Mac OS 15.0 or later, Linux, Android 14 or later, iOS 18.0.1 or later (iPhone 15 or later), and iPadOS 17.6.1 or later devices. That's the official compatibility list; please note that Windows 7/8/8.1, as well as older Mac OS X operating systems such as 10.11 El Capitan and some Android operating systems older than 14 are fully compatible with exFAT, too.
The Nano comes in 128 GB (SE-PS128G2LNN1WF), 256 GB (SE-PS256G2LNN1WF), and 512GB (SE-PS512G2LNN1WF) capacities. They are priced at 3,980 yen (~$29), 6,980 yen (~$49), and 12,980 yen (~$89) respectively.
The Suneast Nano USB-C drives are only available from large electronics stores such as Bic Camera in Japan for now.
