The V1921A is a new device from Vivo that has triple cameras and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It has been certified by TENAA, and has now also appeared on the benchmarking site Geekbench. Its results show that it is powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC, runs Android 9.0 and has an 8GB RAM SKU.

Vivo is reportedly working on a new device called the V1921A. A phone with this model name has appeared on the TENAA certification database. The attributes leaked through this medium suggests that it will bring triple rear cameras and an in-display fingerprint scanner to the sub-premium space.

This impression has been reinforced by the recent discovery of new entries for the V1921A on the Geekbench website. They show that this phone is based on the Snapdragon 710 processor, and runs Android Pie (9.0). Therefore, it is more likely than ever that the V1921A is not a flagship device.

On the other hand, the new Geekbench results also show that the device has 8GB of RAM. This remains more than generous in 2019. Therefore, it is possible that Vivo is aiming to compete with the likes of the Redmi K20 with this phone.

There is already an idea of where the new device may fit in the Vivo release scheme. There is another phone that resembles the TENAA images for the V1921A, apparently known as the S1, to be released in India. The 2 products do indeed appear to have the same form-factor; however, the S1 is to have 4GB of RAM. Therefore, it appears that Vivo intends to use one design to target numerous different markets or price-tiers with multiple conformations.
