Microsoft has unveiled a new version of its Xbox Series S. The console is still "all-digital" - however, this variant comes in black, to denote internal storage specs that have doubled in size compared to the original model. For Series X fans, the Redmond giant has partnered with Bethesda to hype Starfield with limited editions and themed versions of its first-party peripherals.

The Xbox Series S is known as having a distinctive white colorway as well as being disk-free. Microsoft, however, has turned that association on its head with the launch of the console's new Carbon Black edition.

The device is finished in a way that camuflages its massive round vent for the first time because it also has more internal storage for the first time: 1TB, as opposed to 512GB as usual. It comes with a matching Xbox Wireless Controller in the box for US$349.99.

The Series S Carbon Black can be pre-ordered now, although it will not ship until its official September 1, 2023 Release Day. Microsoft has also revealed that the Starfield Constellation Edition will also debut on that day, although its price has already been set at US$299.99.

In the meantime, the new Starfield Editions of the Xbox Wireless Controller and Wireless Headset can be ordered with normal delivery windows from now.
