Even though Hogwarts Legacy has been out and about for well over a month, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch players are still unable to play it. Unfortunately, the wait has only grown longer, with WB Games announcing that the last-gen version has been delayed once more to May 5 (from April 4).
Interestingly, the Nintendo Switch release date for Hogwarts Legacy (July 25) seems to be unchanged for now. That said, one can't rule out further delays given the Switch's laughably underpowered hardware. Hogwarts Legacy was one of the many games launched this year that demanded ultra-high-end components for a complete AAA experience. To make matters worse, even users with top-of-the-line hardware were subject to frame drops and stuttering in crowded areas like Hogsmeade.
Additionally, the current iteration of Hogwarts Legacy seems to be riddled with quite a few game-breaking glitches, such as the inability to reach level 40 (the maximum permitted by the game), Deluxe Edition users not receiving trophies, and bugged quests. WB Games should hopefully address these issues via a patch before launching the game on new platforms.
