March Apple event claim sparks product launch speculation involving iPhone SE 2022, M1 Pro Mac mini, and refreshed iMac computers
While Apple has only just launched new devices in its hugely popular MacBook Pro series, there are those already looking forward to what will come out of Cupertino next. In a somewhat cryptic post on Twitter, LeaksApplePro has stated “March it is”, which of course has sparked speculation that there will be an Apple launch event in that month. It has also started a guessing game, with followers predicting what products could make an appearance at that time.
The redesigned MacBook Air certainly seems like a shoo-in for an early 2022 launch, and there seems to be a good chance for the iPhone SE 3 or iPhone SE 2022 to also turn up in March. The smartphone has apparently been scheduled for mass production in December, so a March 2022 release is possible. A new 27-inch iMac is also mentioned, which has been rumored for some time now. With the revelation of the M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs, Apple has made plenty of room for playing with the processor configurations of a larger iMac or iMac Pro.
Last but far from least is an update of the Mac mini. Not too long ago, there were whispers that an “M1X” Mac mini would be launched at the same time as the 2021 MacBook Pro laptops, but a further report about the diminutive desktop computer stated it had been hit with a production delay. The Mac mini would be the ideal device to sport an M1 Pro or even an M1 Max chip, with additional rumors suggesting a Q1 or Q2 2022 launch for the refreshed powerhouse PC. It’s looking like halcyon times are coming for Apple fans.
