The Seiko Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver’s Watch Save the Ocean Limited Edition SPB545 watch has been unveiled. According to the company, its design has been inspired by the colors of the ocean at Okinawa, a popular location for diving.
Seiko’s SPB545 has a light blue dial with a sunray pattern for enhanced light reflections, surrounded by a gray bezel. The watch has a stainless steel casing, measuring 13.0 x 40.0 x 46.4 mm (~0.5 x 1.6 x 1.8 inches), and the dial is protected by a curved sapphire crystal. Plus, it comes with a stainless steel strap featuring a new six-step adjustable clasp for a more comfortable fit.
The SPB545 is powered by an automatic 6R55 caliber with manual winding. It is said to gain no more than 25 seconds and lose no more than 15 seconds each day, with a 72-hour power reserve. There is a stop second hand function, and LumiBrite hands, indexes and bezel should make it easier to read in low lighting. It also offers 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance and is water resistant to 300 m (~1,000 ft).
Seiko will launch the Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver’s Watch Save the Ocean Limited Edition SPB545 watch in markets worldwide in December 2025. In the US, it will retail for $1,400. Customers in European countries like the UK and Germany can already pre-order the timepiece for £1,300/€1,500. It is worth noting that there are only 4,000 pieces available, with the serial number engraved on the case back.
