Grand Seiko has launched two 37 mm Heritage quartz references for December 2025: the SBGX357 "Skyflake" in high‑intensity titanium and the SBGX265 "Sunray" in stainless steel. Pricing is listed as SEK 48,900 (~$5,126) for the SBGX357 and $2,700 for the SBGX265 on their respective product pages.
The SBGX357 carries a light‑blue "snowflake" dial designed to evoke wind‑swept snow under a clear sky, alongside a tempered blue seconds hand for an icy, winter design. The SBGX265 has more of a sport‑dress aesthetic with distortion‑free mirror surfaces, an elaborate brushed finish, and a striking blue dial sized to slip neatly beneath a shirt cuff.
Grand Seiko has used high‑intensity titanium for the SBGX357 case and bracelet, a material about 30% lighter than stainless steel with strong corrosion resistance for daily wear. The SBGX265 uses stainless steel with the same three‑fold push‑button clasp architecture for continuity across the pair.
Both watches use the in‑house quartz caliber 9F62 rated to ±10 seconds per year and featuring Instant Date Change, a Backlash Auto‑Adjust mechanism, and a regulation switch for fine control. Grand Seiko quotes a battery life of roughly three years with a date display integrated into the movement architecture.
Each measures 37.0 mm in diameter, 44.6 mm lug‑to‑lug, and 10.0 mm thick, with a 19 mm lug width and screw case back for routine service access. Water resistance is rated to 10 bar and magnetic resistance to 4,800 A/m on both references, with the SBGX357 listed at 80 g and noted as using allergy‑safe metal for comfort. The SBGX357 fits a dual‑curved sapphire crystal with inner anti‑reflective coating, while the SBGX265 specifies sapphire crystal with the same internal coating approach.
Grand Seiko lists both models under the Heritage Collection with a December 2025 release window and Boutique Online availability indicators on the pages.
