Early hands-on clips of Seiko’s new Asia-Pacific limited Prospex trio - SPB539J, SPB541J, and SPB543J - have appeared online, thanks to @SeikoLeaks on YouTube. These give us a clear look at the finishes and materials that the press images can't fully grasp. The videos line up with the launch details we published earlier (6R35 movement, ~70-hour reserve, 200m water resistance, 5,500 pieces total), but they also reveal small, useful details buyers will likely care about.
Visually, the three watches are pretty faithful to the teaser renders but feel more textured in the metal. The SPB541J’s coral-pink dial is matte-to-grainy rather than flat; the photos show a slight texture around the indices that catches light unevenly, which should help hide small scratches and fingerprints. The SPB543J’s deep blue variant has a denser metallic grain and a darker bezel insert; the handset and markers read as having a warmer tone under real light than in the studio photos. The SPB539J’s aqua dial and matching bezel show a two-tone treatment - a paler centre with a stronger outer ring - and that model is pictured on a white silicone strap with a visible cross-hatch texture and a signed Seiko buckle (which is common across all models).
A few practical inferences: the crowns sit at roughly 4 o’clock, matching the Sumo-style case proportions (the official spec lists a 45.0 mm diameter and ~12.9 mm thickness). The rotating bezels show full minute marks and a prominent lume pip. These hands-on media confirm the watches are more textured and tool-focused than the polished renders implied. For buyers in the Asia-Pacific region - where Seiko has limited allocation (2,200 / 1,700 / 1,600 by model) - the videos could help prospective buyers make a decision, especially if they prefer a dial with surface detail rather than just colour.
