Seiko’s newest Prospex Alpinist refreshes - SPB503J1, SPB505J1, and SPB507J1 - are now officially available to buy through Seiko Singapore’s online store. Stocks are already running low, with each variant showing only a handful of units left.
The new lineup is the continuation of Seiko’s long-running Alpinist series, which first debuted in 1959 for Japanese mountaineers. Each model has multiple classic Alpinist design cue, alongside the brand’s modern Prospex specs. All three use the 6R55 automatic movement, with a 72-hour power reserve, manual winding capability, and a precision rating of +25 to -15 seconds per day.
Built with stainless steel cases and sapphire crystals with magnifiers, the Seiko SPB503J1 and SPB505J1 come with stainless steel bracelets, while the SPB507J1 opts for a brown leather strap. Each watch measures 39.5 mm in diameter, 12.7 mm thick, and is water-resistant up to 200 meters. They also include Seiko’s signature rotating inner compass bezel, screw-down crown, and see-through caseback.
Pricing-wise, the SPB503J1 features an aqua-blue dial and is priced at SGD 1,417 (~$1,089), while the SPB505J1 carries a sleek black dial at the same price. The SPB507J1, with its forest-green dial and brown leather strap, is slightly lower at SGD 1,290.60 (~$992). As mentioned earlier, interested consumers and collectors will have to act quickly, since the first batch of these watches is almost out of stock at the time of writing.
Alternatively, you can buy the older Seiko Alpinist SPB121 on Amazon.
