Lenovo is currently said to have a "ThinkPad for gamers" (or certain kinds of creators) in the works. An official specs PDF has indeed confirmed that the T15g Gen 1 will come with 8GB of either NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q or 2080 Max-Q graphics and appreciable Intel processors. Now, the OEM has posted a complete PSREF for this upcoming PC.
It confirms the imminent new ThinkPad's specs, and also provides an exhaustive list of the country- and region-specific SKUs that may be available on launch. According to this page, however, they have a choice between the Intel Core i7-10750H or Xeon W-10885M only, even though the official specs leak also mentions scope for the Core i9-10980HK.
These T15g Gen 1 variants will get pretty much the full gamut of its possible screen types, which range from a 15.6" FHD WVA panel with 300nits of brightness, an anti-glare treatment and 72% of the NTSC color space to a 400-nit UHD OLED display with anti-reflective (AR) and anti-smudge (AS) attributes. The top-end panels will also cover 100% of DCI-P3 and will support Dolby Vision and HDR.
These ThinkPad T15g Gen 1s will also have between 2x 8GB to 2x 32GB SO-DIMM DDR4 memory, paired with a spectrum between 512GB and 2TB SSD M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe Opal2 storage options. Finally, they will have both graphic-card options (with either CPU); however, it persists in leaving a question also unanswered by its last official pre-launch reveal, which concerns the refresh rate that will be available to its various display configurations.
