Lenovo Legion Go 2 with a 2TB SSD now costs $2,849 after a new price hike

Just a few days ago, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor and 1TB SSD received a price hike that pushed it to $2,000. That was already a big jump as it was $650 more than its original $1,350 MSRP and a $150 increase from its previous $1,850 price. And now, the 2TB model has received a big increase as well, and this one is easily the biggest so far.
If you head over to Lenovo’s official website, you'll see that the Legion Go 2 with 2TB of storage is now listed at $2,849.99. This marks an $1,369 increase over its original MSRP for $1,480. At this point, the handheld has moved far beyond the premium category and into a price range that most gamers simply won’t consider.
The good news is that some retailers have not updated their pricing yet. For instance, B&H is still offering it for $1,849.99. However, this price is most likely tied to older inventory. Once that stock runs out and new units arrive, it’s very likely that the listing will be updated to match the new $2,849.99 price.
Lenovo has not officially explained the reason behind this latest price increase. However, it’s most likely due to the ongoing memory crisis, which has caused the prices of memory and storage components to skyrocket. The Legion Go 2 has seen multiple price hikes since its launch in September last year, and there’s still uncertainty about whether this will be the last one.
