Huawei P50 Pocket: Design revealed in two new teasers with a striking back panel
Huawei has shared more P50 Pocket teasers on Weibo, having confirmed the device's impending release globally. So far, the company has teased the P50 Pocket's rear design, which appears to have a textured finish. Theoretically, the finish should make the P50 Pocket easier to hold than the Galaxy Z Flip3, unless it is a textured finish protected by a glass coating.
Either way, the P50 Pocket also has a shiny frame, possibly indicating that Huawei has used stainless steel here. Also, the back panel has a slight curvature, although we would expect Huawei to use a flat display panel. The frame's left-hand side has no buttons either, just a SIM card slot and three antenna lines.
Unsurprisingly, Huawei has situated the device's USB Type-C port on its bottom half. According to previous rumours and leaks, the P50 Pocket has a round secondary display, rather than an oblong one like the Galaxy Z Flip3. Huawei's teasers to date do not confirm this, but they imply that the P50 Pocket lacks a wide secondary display.
Huawei will announce the P50 Pocket on December 23. The foldable smartphone will be joined by the Watch D, the design of which Huawei has already shown.
