Huawei Pocket 2 tipped to launch in both standard and premium Art editions
With rumors pointing to a last-gen design in mostly plain block colors, it may have been forgivable to assume that the Huawei Pocket 2 would fall into the emerging affordable class of clamshell foldable smartphones even before its launch.
However, according to a new leak, that might not exactly be the case, as possible evidence of more premium finish options for the upcoming device has now surfaced. It consists of live images purporting to show 2 clamshell-type rear panels in isolation.
Both have the signature Huawei Pocket dual cut-outs, although 1 has a heretofore-unseen treatment resulting in a unique blue swirl pattern, while the other achieves a "white rococo" effect. Furthermore, either panel seems to have a quad rear camera hump, which would be an upgrade on all Huawei clamshells to date.
Accordingly, both casings could represent an evolution of the P50 Pocket's "3D Relief" style, and are thus tipped to be used to confer additional Art (or possibly even Pro Art) Editions on its upcoming successor.
