ZTE Libero Flip launches as a particularly affordable foldable with a round secondary display and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1
With the Libero Flip, ZTE presents a much cheaper alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 (approx. ~€835 on Amazon), which combines the hardware of a current mid-range smartphone with a foldable 6.9-inch AMOLED display that has a resolution of 2,790 x 1,188 pixels. On the outside is a round 1.43-inch AMOLED panel with 466 x 466 pixels resolution.
This display can be used as a camera viewfinder or show a variety of widgets, including a stopwatch, a step counter, and music playback control. There are two cameras next to the display, including a 50-megapixel main camera that can also record 4K videos and a 2 MP sensor. The 16-megapixel selfie camera sits in a central punch-hole. The hinge allows the display to be held half-opened and function as a simple camera tripod.
