ZTE has silently revealed a new 5G-enabled smartphone to its Blade series, the Blade V70. The new affordable smartphone is now listed on ZTE’s global website. ZTE offers the Blade V70 in three color variants: Glacier Green, Sunshine Gold, and Stardust Gray. It comes with a glass back with a sparkling sand texture to repel fingerprints.
The Blade V70 has a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 720 x 1600 px resolution, a 91% screen-to-body ratio, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There’s no word on the water resistance rating. The phone measures 8.2 mm thin and runs Android 14-based MyOS 14 out of the box. As far as software updates are concerned, the company hasn’t revealed any details about the software support.
The device is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core processor - no specifics. It also packs 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 1 TB via a microSD card. ZTE also added some AI-powered features, such as an AI magic editor, AI face stickers, an AI magic eraser, a magic lens, and a magic unblur.
In terms of lenses, the Blade features a triple rear camera array consisting of a 108 MP primary camera and two unknown sensors. There’s a 16 MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The 5G-enabled smartphone draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 22.5 W wired charging. Other than that, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a Live Island 2.0, which is very similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island.
Both pricing and availability for the V70 remain a mystery for now. We’ll update the article as soon as we get the official pricing.
