Windows 365 Link: Small form factor cloud PC announced for $349
Some time ago, Microsoft introduced Windows 365. It essentially does all the heavy lifting on the cloud, and not locally. It is intended for enterprise users who already have existing networking infrastructure. Now, Microsoft has unveiled a standalone mini-PC called the Windows 365 Link. Currently, it is compatible with Windows 365 Enterprise, Windows 365 Frontline, and Windows 365 Business.
The company refuses to divulge what powers the Windows 365 Link, but one can reasonably assume it is a low-profile chip due to its form factor. It measures 20 mm x 120 mm x 30 mm (4.72 in x 4.72 in x 1.18 in) and comes with three USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 3.2 port, one HDMI port, one DP port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an Ethernet jack and a Kensington lock slot.
It uses a standard barrel-pin power connector. Microsoft says the Windows 365 Link will work with most peripherals such as wireless keyboards, mice, cameras, etc. For some reason, it won't work with a dock, likely due to the lack of Thunderbolt support. The Windows 365 Link retails at $349, but it won't hit shelves until April 2025.
