Aoostar Godx gaming mini PC launches with discrete GPU
Aoostar has launched a brand-new gaming mini PC: Godx. While it's not the smallest compact computer out there, it's more capable than most. It packs the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX, a top-end processor from the Rembrandt lineup.
Even though the CPU is three generations old, it still has what it takes to smoothly handle modern AAA games. Aoostar has paired it with the Radeon RX 6600 LE, which is a China-exclusive discrete GPU. However, with the Godx, it seems that the RDNA 2-based desktop graphics card is going global.
Again, the RX 6600 LE isn't the latest and the greatest from AMD. It has pretty much the same specs as the non-LE RX 6600, which is the mid-range option from 2021. Moreover, this isn't the first offering from Aoostar that features this GPU. The company released the "Youyan" earlier this year with the same CPU and GPU, but that has yet to see a global launch.
Nonetheless, in our benchmarks, the non-LE variant could easily offer 60+ FPS in most of the games we tested with it. Aoostar adds that the Godx mini PC can deliver stable 80 FPS in Black Myth: Wukong at 2K resolution on High preset.
To ensure stable performance under load, Aoostar has packed the Godx with what the company calls Glacier 3.0 cooling setup. With dual fans and seven heat pipes, it aims to keep the system cool without being noisy.
The mini PC also equips an Intel AX210 network card, which is said to offer "esports-grade" WiFi 6 speed, even though it's a WiFi 6E card. There's a decent port selection as well, including:

- 2x 2.5 Ethernet ports

- 1x DisplayPort
Other highlights of the Aoostar Godx include a metal chassis, support for up to 32 GB of DDRR5-4800 RAM, two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, and support for three-screen output at 4K 120 Hz. The barebone variant of this gaming mini PC is now available to pre-order from the official site at $529, while the fully equipped variant with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB storage costs $679.
