Vivo S12 Pro to launch with a 108 MP triple camera and two front-facing cameras
Vivo is not due to launch the S12 series until December 22, but the company has already published numerous renders and a product video on Weibo. Embedded below, the photos show that the S12 Pro will be available in at least three colours. Vivo's colour names translate as Lantau, Warm Gold and Yao Black for reference. Presumably, Vivo has named Lantau after the island of the same name in Hong Kong.
The marketing images also confirm that the S12 Pro has a curved display and two front-facing cameras. For some reason, the company has integrated these cameras within a wide notch rather than two punch holes. It seems that the device's bottom bezel is thicker than its other three, too.
Meanwhile, the S12 Pro has a huge rear camera housing, covering a 108 MP primary sensor. Details about the device's other rear-facing cameras remain unknown at this stage. However, the S12 Pro will have a 50 MP front-facing camera, complemented by an 8 MP sensor for capturing ultra-wide-angle selfies.
Additionally, the S12 Pro is expected to arrive with a Dimensity 1200 SoC. The smartphone could feature 44 W charging as well, but Vivo is yet to provide a global release date, if there is one.
