Rumor | The entire Galaxy S22 series appears in an alleged hands-on video
Samsung is now not expected to introduce successors for the Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra until next February - which makes it all the more surprising that all 3 phones have reportedly popped up in a new video. It has been posted to Twitter by OnLeaks, who asserts that the objects filmed are non-working models of each new device.
As neither of the "displays" involved are shown to activate in response to being picked up, this might indeed be the case. Nevertheless, each one does seem to conform well to earlier design-related leaks for each S22-series member, and seem to be high-quality in terms of build (and shiny materials) besides.
Therefore, this just might be how each new flagship smartphone might look and handle in real life. Should that be the case, it is now apparent that they are shaping up to be remarkably thick phones, particularly the smallest (likely the base S22, which might hamper its rumored new "Mini" status somewhat) and the largest.
On that note, OnLeaks refers to this one as the Galaxy S22 Ultra, despite new claims that this device may launch as the S22 Note instead, thanks to its new integrated S Pen. That feature is indeed evident in the new "dummy", as is an additional hardware button, mounted close to one corner, that is not seen in the other 2 models.
However, all 3 have camera humps and/or rings that protrude to varying degrees (even the "S22 Ultra/Note", which is a shame as they are indeed cleaner from a top-down perspective); USB type C ports; bottom-firing speakers and a total absence of headphone jack in common.
They are all finished in the same black of an earlier leak, except for the "S22", which appears in its rumored white colorway. Therefore, it is looking more and more likely that this is what Samsung fans and customers will get for early-year flagships in 2022.
