According to reports, Huawei still hopes to sell the P50 and P50 Pro globally. Ahead of that expansion, Huawei has finally started offering the P50 Pro with a Snapdragon 888 4G SoC, starting at CNY 5,988 (~US$940).

In July, Huawei unveiled the P50 and P50 Pro with Kirin 9000 and Snapdragon 888 4G SoCs. Officially, the pair have not made it outside China, with Huawei's global website reporting that the P50 series is only available in its home market.

Initially, Huawei only sold Kirin 9000 versions of the P50 and P50 Pro, for some reason. As of today, it has started selling Snapdragon 888 4G versions of the P50 Pro though, confirmed by the screenshot below. Everything else remains identical to Kirin 9000 versions, mind you, including the P50 Pro's large display, its 120 Hz refresh rate and its plethora of impressive cameras.

According to Huawei, the Snapdragon 888 4G editions of the P50 Pro start at CNY 5,988 (~US$940) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. By contrast, the 256 GB model will set you back CNY 6,488 (~US$1,018). Huawei has not confirmed if it will release the P50 series globally. However, @RODENT950 insists that it is on the cards, albeit without specifying a release date.
