Honor has unveiled the MagicBook 14 2022 in Europe during its IFA 2022 showcase. Revealed earlier this year in China and complemented with AMD Ryzen 6000 variants in July, the MagicBook 14 2022 lands in Europe in only one configuration. Thankfully, Honor has opted to release its most powerful option outside China, as well as what appears to be the machine's base configuration. Honor has not revealed pricing details yet, although it should do so following its IFA 2022 keynote.
According to the company, the MagicBook 14 will be available with an Intel Core i5-12500H processor and an optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU. Hence, it seems that the company plans to offer the machine in two variants. Based on the laptop's Chinese release, each configuration should come with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. For reference, the Core i5-12500H is a 12-core and 16-thread processor with a 45 W TDP and an Iris Xe Graphics G7 iGPU that has 80 Execution Units (EUs). Typically, the iGPU will render on-screen objects on the device's 14-inch, 3:2 and 2,160 x 1,440-pixel display.
Moreover, the MagicBook 14 2022 has a 75 Wh battery that Honor claims only needs 15 minutes of charging for 3:30 hours of battery life. Incidentally, Honor achieved this result while using its 135 W power adapter and by running the PCMark Modern Office Test. Like other Honor laptops, the MagicBook 14 2022 will be available in a Space Grey colourway. Furthermore, the laptop has two USB Type-C ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack on one side, plus a full-sized HDMI connection and a USB Type-A port on the other. Separately, Honor equips it with a large trackpad and a six-row chiclet keyboard, along with a fingerprint scanner integrated within its power button. Honor MagicBook 14 2022 pre-orders will begin today in 'select European markets'.
Update
Honor has since confirmed that the MagicBook 14 starts at €1,099. Pre-orders start today.
