The X40 is an OLED-display Android smartphone now revealed to launch alongside a wider portfolio of new products, a laptop and a tablet included, later in September 2022. Now, the OEM has decided to get ahead of itself by revealing that it will debut in 3 different colorways with a generous battery capacity despite its "thin and light" status.

The Honor X40 is officially on the way as a higher-end counterpart for the existing X40i, and as such is now thought to launch with an equally premium sibling of that smartphone's MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.

In terms of more verifiable leaks, the OEM has also now revealed that the new 5G series flagship will debut in a total of 3 color SKUs: a more or less on-trend green shade, black (which camuflages its new ultra-thin take on the Star Ring camera hump quite effectively) or the pale gradient finish teased earlier.

The OEM has also previewed the X40 in terms of the upgraded 5,100mAh battery it will cram into a slim and light-weight frame. The smartphone is set to debut during a mid-September 2022 press conference, now confirmed to serve as Honor's general Autumn 2022 product event for the Chinese market.

Accordingly, the company has started to tease the launch of the MagicBook V14 2022, indirectly hinting at a new Pad to debut alongside it in the process.
