MediaTek Dimensity 900-powered Doogee V30 family coming later this year
Less than a year after the introduction of the successful V20, Doogee is gearing up for the launch of an entire V-series lineup. Confirmed to use 6 nm MediaTek processors, the upcoming family of devices consists of the following: V30, V30 Pro, V30 Max, and V30 Max Pro.
According to the information available at this time, the high-end handsets in the V30 lineup, namely the V30 Pro and V30 Max Pro, will use the MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. The features of this new chipset include Bluetooth 5.2, 4k @ 30 fps video recording and encoding capabilities, LPDDR5 RAM support, fast UFS 3.1 storage, 120 Hz video refresh rate, as well as WiFi 6.
Design-wise, the V30 will go with a deerskin-like material and a ceramic strip on the edges. These rather peculiar materials for a rugged phone promise to be lighter and more durable than those usually used in rugged devices. Doogee also claims that they improve signal transmission.
Doogee claims that the upcoming V30 handsets will launch as the first rugged phones to use the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. The table below shows a comparison between the Dimensity 700 processor used in the V20 and the Dimensity 900 that will power the aforementioned high-end members of the upcoming V30 family. More details regarding the technical specs of each model and their prices should surface in the coming weeks.
