Last year, HP refreshed its laptop line, retiring the popular Pavilion line and reintroducing the OmniBook line to replace it. Now, it has unveiled the OmniBook 3 series, the lowest in the OmniBook line which also includes the OmniBook 5, OmniBook 7, OmniBook X, and OmniBook Ultra (available on Amazon for $1,169.99) series.
The HP OmniBook 3 series is available in 15.6-inch and 14'' models and both are powered by an AMD Ryzen AI processor. HP will offer the OmniBook 3 in multiple processor variants which include the Ryzen AI 7H 350, Ryzen AI 5 H 340, Ryzen AI 7 350, and Ryzen AI 5 340. The new laptops will also have AMD Radeon 860M and Radeon 840M integrated graphics.
HP says buyers will be able to purchase the OmniBook 3 15.6'' and OmniBook 3 14'' models with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM. There will also be an LPDDR5x variant in 24GB and 16GB configurations. Both models will have a PCIe Gen4 NVME SSD available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configuration.
Both the 14'' and 15.6'' OmniBook 3 laptops have a flicker-free 1920 x 1080 IPS display with anti-glare and up to 300 nits of brightness. They will also be available with either a 1080p or a 720P an HP True Vision HD camera. Other identical features are dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.
The OmniBook 3 laptops have a single USB-C port with support for USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4, and HP Sleep and Charge which lets the port continue to supply power even when the laptop is in sleep mode. They also have dual USB-A ports, a headphone jack, an HDMI 1.4b port, and an AC input port. There's a 41Wh battery in each model with support for 65W charging (AC power or Type-C). HP will ship them with Windows 11 or Windows 11 Pro.
HP hasn't revealed details about pricing and availability of the new OmniBook 3 series. However, when it arrives, it will be available to buy in Glacier Silver.
